Greg Horn

Lead minister

Pastor Greg began serving as Lead Pastor of Gardenside Christian Church in August 2022. His heart for ministry is rooted in the words of 1 Corinthians 13:13: “These three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” Greg is passionate about helping people grow in their faith, find hope in difficult seasons, and experience the love of Christ in a real and personal way.

Greg began his ministry in 2001 at Berry Christian Church, where he was ordained. He later served at Northeast Christian Church in Lexington as Associate Pastor and then Executive Pastor for eight years. Before coming to Gardenside, he served as Pastor of Jackson Christian Church. Greg also founded HOPE is Here Ministries, a ministry focused on mental health
awareness and suicide prevention in Kentucky. Through a daily radio program on WJMM (99.1 FM), podcasts, and social media, Greg seeks to bring encouragement and hope to people who are struggling.

In his spare time, Greg provides the radio voice for the Lexington Christian Academy Eagles football team (11 years running). He is an avid sports fan, cheering on his nephew, Walker, at UK, and his brother, Darrin, the men’s basketball coach at NKU.

Greg is a loyal Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Reds and New York Knicks fan.

Justin Northcutt is a devoted follower of Jesus and seasoned youth minister with 13 years of experience. He attended Kentucky Christian University, but you may know him by his signature handlebar mustache he’s been sporting for 4 years and counting. Peggy King

Children's director

As Children's minister at Gardenside Christian, Peggy brings over 20 years of experience creating nurturing environments for kids to grow in faith. Her goal is to provide children with a solid foundation from which to grow and build their relationship with God.

With a background in early childhood development, Peggy has served in various children's ministry roles. Here at Gardenside, she oversees Sunday programming for birth-grade 5, special events like VBS, and is director over our sweet preschool program, The Learning Garden.

When not leading kids' programs, she loves spending time with her horses, spoiling her other furred and feathered "children", and gardening.

carrie peters

Assistant children's director

Carrie moved to Kentucky from Iowa nearly 30 years ago. She attended Lafayette High school and then the University of Kentucky to study Psychology. She pursued a professional position with the Better Business Bureau, though always knew she
wanted to be a mom. Once Carrie was married and had her daughter and son, she was able to live her dream and care for them both as a stay at home mom. Carrie realized how much she enjoyed early learning education, teaching toddlers with learn through play lessons. Fun facts about Carrie, she’s never met a dog she didn't adore, and in her spare time she loves to bake or play trivia.

Growing up in Franklin County, Ann attended a small church where she met her husband Jim. They were married for 43 years. After a 22 year battle with multiple sclerosis, Jim passed in 2007. After retiring from 30 years in the financial world, Ann began volunteering at Gardenside.

One of her favorite verses is Romans 12:1, understanding our reasonable service is to daily present ourselves to His service. God’s hand has guided and prepared each phase of her life, and lead her to Gardenside. Her joy comes from sharing God’s love at Gardenside and the community we serve.
